First Birthday

I had the pleasure of being invited to this little girl's first birthday by the "B" family. Although it was "E" birthday party, mini photo sessions were being offered to any of the guests that were interested in getting some portraits done. It was very much along the lines of the portrait party service that I now offer (scroll down a few posts for more info about portrait parties), although this wasn't the main attraction at this party. One year old "E" below was!

I have gone through some of the photos, and can't wait to post some! They turned out so great. For now, this is just a little peek at the birthday girl and the absolutely, amazingly beautiful birthday cake that was made for her!

I must being the biggest blog procrastinator on the face of the earth! I have so many photos that I want to share, and I am finally getting to some of them. Keep checking back, as I will try to add a few more every other day or so. These are just a few random photos that have struck a chord with me for various reasons. Just a note on the gorgeous blue eyed baby.... yes her eyes are that blue. I did not do any adjustments whatsoever to her eyes!!

Update on Portrait Parties {Oshawa children's photographer}

A little info about hosting a portrait party....

A portrait party is when you invite your friends and family to get together for a good time and each family/group gets their own professional mini photo session. Each session lasts about 15-20 minutes. As a host you will start with a $25 credit to use for your own prints and you will earn more credits with every dollar that your guests spend. Some of the other possible incentives are an album containing free prints, high resolution images on disc, or maybe even a complimentary full length session. The more your guests spend the more you get! There is even a draw for one of your guests to win a free 11x14 print! No one will walk away empty handed because all your guests will receive a $25 credit to put toward any full session that they book within a year of your party. The best part about hosting a portrait party is that there is no session fee or any minimum purchase requirements. You and your guests only purchase what you like!

The images will be able for viewing in a secure private online gallery approximately one week after the party. At this point your guests can order all the prints they want, then you get to collect all your free print credits to be used toward your own prints. It's that easy!

As a host you would choose the location to have the party. It can be in your home or at an outdoor location of your choice. You would then invite 5-10 families/friends (I will supply you with the invitations). I will come to your location with all the necessary equipment for professional photos for each family/group at the party.

I just have to add one more from the "B" family. I always think it's very important to capture all sides of your child's personality, because sometimes these moments make for some of the best pictures!

There is just something about newborn babies that just tugs at your heartstrings, and this baby is no exception! At just seven days old, she was absolutely adorable and a pleasure to photograph. It was great to meet little "K"'s family and a big thank you to you for allowing me the honour of photographing your family

Portrait Parties coming soon!

I am preparing to offer a new and exciting service in addition to my full photo session. I know a lot of you out there would love to have professional pictures done of your children, but have never experienced a custom photo session. A portrait party is a great way to see what it's all about. This will be a great opportunity to get together with friends and family and have a great time as well as have a professional mini photo session for your kids! There will be so many great perks to hosting a party such as no session fee, free prints and the chance to win a free full photo session!
