The Cake Smash Session {Durham Region Children Photographer}

About a month ago I tested out a new idea for a session. The Cake Smash! It was so much fun and I knew immediately that I was going to add this type of session to my list of services. Some of you have been inquiring about the details and I apologize that it took me so long but I am now officially offering The Cake Smash Session! ***As an introductory special I am offering the first 3 clients that book and have their cake smash session before September 30, 2009 a free mini wallet size album with up to 10 of your favourite images from your session. To my 12 year old son's extreme disappointment :) Cake Smash sessions are only for babies turning 1, so please book your session within a month or two of your child's first birthday.

This image is from the original test session I did of "E" last month, and I thought it would be fitting to add it today to show "M", it being her birthday. Happy Birthday, hope you enjoy this! (It's unfortunate that the images viewed here are so small, so you'll just have to take my word for it that the print looks amazing. Getting a new blog with larger images is on my to-do list!)

Mother's day

I had the best Mother's Day! I am always on the look out for great photo locations, and I am always trying to enlist the help of my children as photo "guinea pigs" for anything new that I would like to try out. When I even mention the word camera or photos, their reaction is always to run very fast in the opposite direction and hide. This time was different....what could they do? It was Mother's Day afterall, and there is a rule that says you can't say no to your mother on Mother's Day, right? These photos are the result of their generosity. I had so many to choose from and it was very hard to limit my favourites to post here. Not only did I get so many wonderful photos to cherish forever, but I also found my new favourite location for outdoor photos. Enjoy!
