Sweet Baby {K}..... {Durham Region Newborn Photographer}

Our internet went down the other day because our modem just up and decided it didn't want to function anymore, and I have to say I felt quite a bit of panic and anxiety! How does one survive these days without the internet LOL? Of course once the initial shock wore off I did realize that it is possible :) I actually enjoyed a very wonderful relaxing weekend, and caught up on some of my reading and crocheting!

But I am excited that the new modem is set up and I am back online and able to upload galleries and sneak peeks. Meet Baby {K}, oh so sweet and slept so well for her session. Dad wasn't able to make it to the session, so they came back a few days later for a few family shots and by then she had wised up to this whole photo session process and didn't sleep quite as well...but that's ok because I LOVE the photo we got of her in her little Christmas dress!!

Happy Birthday {A}.... {Durham Region Child Photographer}

Well it's no secret, at least to my clients anyway, that I am waaayyyy behind on my blogging! Although I know my clients are very patiently waiting for their peeks, for me the fact that I can't keep up with my blog means business is booming :o) These last few months have been fantastic, and I am really looking forward to what the New Year is going to bring. I really do have THE BEST CLIENTS ever, and they are all very patient and very understanding... Thank you so much to all of you!

Meet 1 year old {A}. This is the second time I have had the honour of photographing this little boy, and as was my experience the first time around, his session was awesome! Loved him, loved his parents...the nicest people you could ever meet!

4 weeks old..... {Durham Region Newborn Photographer}

I cannot tell a lie: it is very difficult to get 'newborn' photos of a 4 week old. Many photographers won't even consider having a newborn session with this old of a baby. The ideal time really is between day 5-10, definitely no more than two weeks. Even at that young of an age it can still be a challenge and I have had newborn sessions last well past 3 hours. This is why many photographers stress the point of booking your session while you are still pregnant...this is not a sales ploy :) we happen to know the reality of the work involved in getting those gorgeous sleepy, curled up newborn shots, and the earlier the better.
Now all that being said, sometimes it is not possible to come early. It happens. And that's ok. You just have to understand that it may be twice as challenging to get the shots you want...but hey - I love a challenge, so when {S}'s mom called me and told me her baby was already 4 weeks, I explained the situation and said if you are game, then so am I. {S} did make us work extra hard, wanted to stay awake for most of the session...but with a little patience and determination we were able to get some sleepy shots :)

I knew I was in trouble the minute these monkeys walked in the door! Luckily for me these two little monkeys have been very near and dear to my heart for many years and I knew what to expect! Even though there were a few, umm, challenges during the session I think we faired ok :)

No sleeping..... {Newborn Photography Toronto}

Well not much sleeping anyway :) Baby {L} was very determined to make us work very hard for some sleepy shots! Beautiful family, so glad to have met them! Thank you so much for making the long drive out to see me! I hope you love your sneak peeks... I for one love, love, love mom and baby, and please...how gorgeous is big sister {S} with those amazing eye lashes?!!

Baby {F} at 8 days old..... {Newborn Photography}

Slowly but surely I am catching up on my blog postings... Will keep this posting short and sweet, lots more on my to do list for tonight! Loved baby {F} and his family! The whole family rocked! Dad was even a super trooper when {F} decided to, ummm, take care of some business while he held him....naked....There is just something about naked babies, daddies, and poop these days :)

Fresh.... {Toronto Newborn Photographer}

Newborns are just so fresh and soft and sweet and cuddly and just plain yummy! I adore them! With every session I am always finding a new favourite image...and this session was no exception. I might have to get this branch shot for my studio... so in love with it! {Z} was an amazing baby, so mellow and sleepy for his whole session...love that!

And the final set of twins... I had the pleasure of capturing these two beauties when the were just newborns and again last fall...before they could walk :) Let's just say now that they have discovered they can actually get up and move, it was quite a work out of a session! So much fun!

In the span of a few days I had three twin sessions! Meet {J} and {R}... as cute as can be, and they each had quite a talent for pooping! Totally loved their session, mom and dad were phenomenal and such good sports! Hope you like your sneak peeks!

Cake Smash times 2! .... {Toronto Baby Photographer}

What can be more fun that a cake smash session? Multiply it by two! These little guys were so cute and we all had a great time watching them smash their cake!
